OK. It's been a month since they broke ground on this giant remodel and I'm really beginning to resent the disruption.
( Whining within: I know the house is going to be wonderful when it's done so I don't really have a lot of right to whine like this when there are many people out there in much worse situations...but I gotta whine. )But the work that's been done looks great. I'm very happy with the deck and now we're waiting on the elevator. The greenhouse roof is perfect, all the remains to be done is the siding/trim on the sides of the roof. Because of the rain yesterday and today it looks like that will happen tomorrow.
The bathroom is waiting on an inspection before they can close up the walls and install the sink and toilet.
I may have found a good used hot tub, but I'm waiting on a call from the architect with the designed pounds per square foot the deck is supposed to be able to hold before I go ahead and look at it.
The cabinets were ordered middle of last week and are supposed to take about 3 and half weeks. A couple days before delivery is when the dining room wall demolition will start.
Several website updates on my list, getting a write up for a potential class to the organizer, getting registered for a weekend blacksmith class in October, plus all the usual, bills, payroll, balancing accounts/book keeping. I'm doing my best to keep functioning through this disruption but it's getting old and I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through another month. But just like having a baby, once you start...there's no going back.
